Refund policy

Thank you for purchasing our digital sewing patterns at Patternalism.

Digital Products - No Returns or Refunds

Due to the nature of digital products, all sales are final once you have accessed or downloaded your pattern file. Digital downloads cannot be "returned" as they are delivered instantly and the content is immediately available to you. Unlike physical products, digital files cannot be returned to their original condition once accessed.

One-Time Size Exchange

We understand that selecting the right size can be challenging. If you've purchased a pattern and realize you need a different size, we offer a one-time size exchange under the following conditions:

Eligibility for Size Exchange:

  • You must contact us within 14 days of your original purchase
  • You must provide your order number and specify which size you need
  • Please include the reason for the exchange so we can help ensure the new size is right for you
  • The exchange is limited to one replacement per order
  • The replacement will be sent manually via email within 2-3 business days (we'll do our best to respond faster)

To Request a Size Exchange: Contact us at patternalism.team@gmail.com with:

  • Your order number
  • The size you originally purchased
  • The size you need
  • Brief reason for the exchange (optional, but helps us assist you better)

Defective or Corrupted Files

Please inspect your digital file immediately upon download. If you receive a corrupted or defective file that cannot be opened or used, please contact us immediately at patternalism.team@gmail.com.

We will either:

  • Provide a replacement file, or
  • Issue a full refund

Exceptions / Non-Refundable Situations

No refunds will be provided for:

  • Change of mind after downloading the pattern
  • Incorrect size selection after the one-time exchange has been used
  • Difficulty with the sewing project or pattern instructions
  • Technical issues on your end (incompatible software, printing problems, device storage issues, etc.)
  • Failure to download the file or save it securely
  • Loss of downloaded files due to device failure or user error
  • Dissatisfaction with the finished garment or fit

European Union 14-Day Right of Withdrawal

If you are located in the European Union, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days without giving any reason (the "cooling-off period"). However, this right is waived once you download the digital pattern file, as digital content that has been accessed cannot be returned.

By downloading the pattern, you expressly agree that:

  • You waive your 14-day right of withdrawal
  • The digital content is delivered immediately upon purchase
  • You understand that once downloaded, the purchase is final

If you have not yet downloaded the pattern file and wish to cancel within the 14-day period, please contact us at patternalism.team@gmail.com with your order number, and we will process a full refund.

Refunds

If a refund is approved (for defective files or undownloaded EU orders within 14 days), you will be automatically refunded to your original payment method within 10 business days. Please note that it may take additional time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund.
