We created this cape for those who love feeling protected without sacrificing their freedom. It’s a cocoon-like piece that adapts to your rhythm of life and the changing weather.

Why this pattern will become your favorite:

  • Architectural Volume: The loose cut and lack of a rigid shoulder line allow you to wear this cape over any layer - from a light T-shirt to a chunky sweater. The high standing collar holds its form and adds a graphic touch, creating a cozy protective barrier.
  • Maximum Style, Minimum Effort: This is the simplest piece in our collection. We designed the construction so you can enjoy working with large shapes and clean finishes. It is the perfect weekend project, and the result looks like it came from a premium studio.
  • The Perfect Alternative: More than just a coat, it’s a statement. This cape works beautifully as a transition piece for any season, adding a layer of sophistication to even the simplest outfit.
  • Tested by Us: We don’t just create patterns - we invent the clothing we wear ourselves. We make them for our friends all around the world. This cape travels with us, keeps us warm on walks, and becomes an essential companion on every trip. It brings comfort and ease wherever you are. We do what we love - for ourselves and for you.

For this model, we recommend choosing bulky, loose-weave fabrics. Since the design has no lining, it is very important that the inside of the fabric looks just as beautiful as the outside.

Recommended Materials:

  • Tweed or "Chanel-style" Fabric: A classic choice. The large weave creates a beautiful texture and gives the cape a cozy, voluminous silhouette.
  • Soft Coating Fabrics: Look for options with a stable edge that does not fray too easily. These fabrics drape softly and are perfect for oversized designs.
  • Boiled Wool or Loden: The ideal material for unlined garments. The edges of Loden do not fray, the fabric is very warm, and it holds its shape perfectly.
  • Double-face Wool: A premium option where both sides of the fabric are finished. This ensures the inside of your cape looks flawless.
  • Bouclé: A textured material with characteristic loops and knots. Its thickness and volume hold the cape's shape well and help hide small sewing imperfections.

Pro Tip: When choosing your fabric, always check the cut edge: it should not fray excessively since the edges of this garment remain open. Also, avoid very heavy or stiff materials that might feel too rigid; the fabric should be soft enough to wrap comfortably around the body.
