We designed this coat to be a perfect balance between soft shapes and sharp lines. It is a piece that looks architectural and refined, yet feels like a breeze to sew.

Why this pattern will become your favorite:

  • Perfect Architecture: The light O-silhouette, paired with a structured shoulder fit, creates a shape that visually slims and lengthens the figure. The shawl collar and the simple slit (instead of a complex vent) are key trends this year that simplify the sewing process without losing any of the high-end look.
  • Space for Your Imagination: The curved hem of the coat and the sleeve ends are finished with wide facings. This opens up endless possibilities: you can use contrasting colors or different textures (like leather or a different shade of wool) to create your own unique designer piece.
  • Sewing as a Joy: We removed the unnecessary complexity while keeping the lines clean and pure. The clear assembly steps allow you to focus on your creativity and choosing the perfect fabric, rather than struggling with a difficult construction. You get a professional-level result with your own hands.
  • Tested by Us: We don’t just create patterns- we invent the clothing we wear ourselves. We make them for our friends all around the world. This coat lives alongside us, completing any look and giving confidence in every step. We do what we love - for ourselves and for you.

For this model, we recommend using structured, heavyweight coating fabrics. This is essential to ensure the shawl collar keeps its volume and the back slit stays sharp and does not lose its shape with movement.

Recommended Materials:

  • Melton Wool: A classic choice for structured coats. It is dense, durable, and holds the shape of the collar perfectly.
  • Cashmere or Cashmere Blend: Provides a premium look. Choose high-density options to ensure the garment remains stable.
  • Drap: A heavy, dense wool fabric that is ideal for creating an "architectural" silhouette.
  • Loden: Firm boiled wool. It holds its shape well and is naturally water-resistant.
  • Tweed: Choose a dense, tightly woven tweed to maintain the clean lines of the back slit.

Pro Tip: For the lining, we recommend choosing heavyweight polyester fabrics with a non-fray edge. This ensures the coat is durable and the inside seams stay neat. Also, be sure to use high-quality interfacing to reinforce the collar, facings, and the slit area to prevent the fabric from sagging.
